CAPSTONE IDEAS

1. I want to do a dramatic high quality short film that is full of twist and turns.

2. I want to film a live play on stage and with an audience and without.

3. I would like to do a documentary about a children's theatre from audition to production

I was inspired by the film crash, brotherhood, and Chris's capstone which he showed no restrictions on his idea.

What is a Capstone?

I think a capstone is a unique representation and culmination of everything you have learned during your time spent at IUPUI. A capstone is an opportunity to fully explore any idea that would include the skills you have gained while in school. The capstone is a senior project; it’s a portfolio piece, and a demonstration of the skills you have to offer employers.  From the capstone I want a chance to work closely with a professor of my choosing to produce the best possible project that I am capable of.  I want to produce something that employers would respect and want to hire me based off of. The capstone should be a professional quality and marketable piece that we could possibly even expand upon. The capstone is similar to a final exam in the sense that it is designed to test all of our skills but unique because we design the test. We stretch our imaginations to the limit and create a product that we can be proud of. I think it takes two semesters to do a capstone because it is supposed to be a large-scale project. One semester is for brainstorming, planning, and pre-production the next is for production and postproduction and preparing for the presentation. This is not a small project it is an opportunity to utilize the resources that we have to produce the best ideas we can put forth. I am looking forward to tackling this challenge.
